- I purchased this item when Amazon marked down their gift baskets a couple of weeks before Christmas. I was impressed with the presentation and quality of the basket when I saw it. We'll be taking this with us on an overnight trip. There are enough snacks for a couple of people to enjoy over an evening. I will not hesitate to purchase Van's products in the future.

What did we get in this 'Gourmet Hostess Tray--not much.1/4 cup of fruit and nuts--mostly raisins, some peanuts, and a few almonds.1/2 cup of party mix--mostly pretzels, peanuts and a few almonds.3 ounces of cheese spread.2 'flatbread' crackers (I think it was two--they were broken in many pieces.)1 spreading knife which was put together with white glue--don't soak it in water.8 ounces of hard salami -- we haven't tasted it yet so I can't comment on its quality.1 hostess tray made of cheap, thin wood.On the positive side:,1 Toblerone candy bar-- regular sized!1 5"x5" bamboo…
